Gina Fricke, LCSW, CDGC
I graduated from University of Nebraska at Omaha with my Bachelor and Master degree in Social Work 1999 and 2002. I have various experiences in human services fields.
Since 2002 I have been working in the mental health field specializing in gambling treatment. I work primarily with gamblers and their family members in individual sessions. I also work with those suffering with spending or shopping compulsion, grief and loss, relationship problems, anxiety and depression.
I have done many presentations about gambling addiction and/or grief and loss to various audiences, including churches, community organizations, colleges, seniors, and therapists. I currently am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Nebraska and hold both national and state of Nebraska certifications as a gambling counselor. I became a certified grief recovery specialist in August 2008 through the Grief Recovery Institute.
I have been published in the National Council on Problem Gambling newsletter and have done a poster presentation at the National Conference on Problem Gambling in August 2007. In 2009 I did a breakout session for the Nebraska chapter of the NASW annual conference about grief and loss. I have been interviewed on Channel 7 and Fox 42 newscasts. I have also been interviewed on CTI 22, a local public access network, and 1110 KFAB radio station about gambling addiction.
If you or your family member has a problem with gambling, spending, grief and loss, anxiety, depression or relationship problems I would be happy to talk with you. Please contact me at 402-515-7412.
