Gambling Addiction
Outpatient Treatment for Gamblers
This program is flexible to meet the needs of the gambler. There is usually one individual session with a counselor each week. We refer to Gamblers Anonymous (GA) or Gamblers 12 Step (G-12) meetings if you want more support. They are a great supplement to the treatment you will receive here.
Initial Assessment: The first session is no charge as are ongoing sessions. This session involves the counselor getting to know you. The counselor will ask questions about how you are doing socially, at your job/school, medically, and spiritually.

Ongoing Outpatient Treatment: After the first appointment goal setting will help us learn where you want to go in your counseling. Then we work each session on helping you get to the destination of your choice.

Our Payment Options
No charge sessions: Insurance, for the most part, does not pay for gambling treatment. Our funding through the state of Nebraska Gamblers Assistance program allows us to provide these services at no charge.
If you would rather pay for the services you are seeking rather than receive funding assistance, we can take some insurance or private pay too.
We want to help you put your life back together not cause you further strife through expensive fees. As a family member, or friend, while your gambler is attending treatment at Peace & Power Counseling, all of your sessions are no charge.

Distance Treatment
Ask yourself:
* Do you live far enough out of Omaha that you really dread the thought of driving to treatment every week?
* Have you been thinking about gambling treatment but not sure if you can afford the gas to get there?

Distance treatment is the answer: Distance Treatment gives you an opportunity to come to an appointment one time every 4 weeks rather than weekly and still get the benefit of weekly contact.
The distance treatment difference: There are handouts, readings and assignments in between each session. There is email/mail/internet contact in between each session. |
